League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) of Wisconsin
The Mission of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) is to advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health and civil rights of the Hispanic population of the United States.
Deputy State Director of Women's Activities: Ms. Jessica Cavazos
Jessica serves the community in both the political and the nonprofit sectors. She has worked in a vast array of positions for prominent community agencies such as: Director of Marketing of the Alliance for Children and Families; Special Assistant to the president of UMOS, Sponsorship Director at the Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation, and campaign scheduler for Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett's gubernatorial campaign. She is strong advocate on Domestic Violence and believes in the power of giving back to her community through volunteerism and mentorship. Jessica is a graduate of the Democratic Leadership Institute (DLI) and the Latino Nonprofit Leadership Program. She is a dedicated member of the Latina Resource Center, the Federal Employee Diversity Committee, Arts@Large Foundation, and currently serves as the assistant secretary for the Midwest Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Federal Executives.
